Hi All, I don't know if this is the right place to ask you people about this. Still looking forward to getting an answer. After moving out of Toronto I began to live a bit calmer and peaceful life, have more time to spend with family relaxed work. I was having the greatest time of my life. Lately, I noticed that my teeth are having a lot of black stains, Every single time I brush it doesn't fade away. I tried a couple of mouthwash and antiseptics, nothing was doing the work. So I decided to visit a nearby dental clinic in Oakville. After consulting with the doctor, he suggests me to do teeth whitening. It will get rid of the plaque on your teeth. Does Plaque can cause serious issues in your teeth? Can be there any preventive measures that I should be aware of?

Whitening does not remove plaque from what I understand. Your dentist removes plaque from your teeth when you visit for a cleaning. I get my teeth cleaned 2-3 year and what the hygienist does is remove plaque buildup. If the black on your teeth is from stains, then whitening might work, but whitening does not help with plaque which causes gum disease and is generally very bad for you...bacteria and bad breath are caused by plaque...the black spots might be cavities?
You should ask your dentist for advice, probably not a forum like this...
