@SunsetRunner that sounds really good!
@Loli_2011 I'm a scientist and, in science, we have a saying "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." So far you've made the extraordinary claim that turkey is "junk", but your evidence isn't extraordinary. It's not even credible.
Anyone can say anything on YouTube and anyone can claim to be a doctor. It's important, when evaluating scientific and medical information to consider the source in order to assess its reliability. An anonymous person who claims to be a doctor on YouTube isn't a reliable source.
There's certainly nothing wrong with including peanut butter or turkey in a balanced diet. It doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing thing. I eat plenty of both.

Hello @Loli_2011 well, peanut butter is good, but turkey is, too. Turkey is healthy, so don't ignore it. Peanut butter is good, but it is also higher in calories than the turkey, which is important for those trying to lose weight. Read this - click - about the two.

@Loli_2011 is there a reason why you think people should avoid turkey? It's a good source of protein and other nutrients. I certainly wouldn't consider it to be "junk".

@Loli_2011 you saw a doctor talking about it? Oh, some You Tube video, commercial or tv show? Those can be made to make eating paper healthy. Seriously, turkey is good food and healthy.

@Loli_2011 eating anything all the time without adding in other healthy foods and habits, can be considered less than wise, but it's not all junk. People need variety. There is more to life than peanut butter and turkey. You didn't mention any vegetables or grains.

My thought is this … There are different variations of turkey. I find that some turkey deli meat is too salty for me. (Maybe that’s what the video was talking about, @Loli_2011 ? ) But if I select a brand that is basically sliced turkey breast, it’s fine. Like with all foods, we have to read the labels. I roasted a nice, big turkey leg in my slow cooker yesterday for dinner. There is a turkey sandwich on a low carb wrap on the menu for lunch today, along with a sliced cucumber on the side. Yummy and healthy!

@alexthecat Totally agree with about YouTube information. We need to be careful with that.

All depends from the day but usually much vegetable and combination of some slice of "pure meat".

Good sandwich choices include sliced deli or rotisserie chicken, turkey, ham, lean roast beef, canned salmon or tuna, nut butter, grilled tempeh or tofu, smashed cooked beans, and reduced-fat cheese. 😁
