Can't Say No To Oreo's

Hello everyone 😄

Since Tuesday I have been sick with Bronchitis and Pneumonia. The Doctor ordered me to get some bed rest, and to start feeling better. I've stayed in bed all week so far and developed some bad eating habits....my "go to food" is Oreo's. I need to start back to school tomorrow, because I have an FFA competition. So what are some good things I can eat (Healthy Snacks) full of vitamins and nutrients? Good drinks besides Orange Juice? Also how can I get some steps in?

I have to say, I'm an Oreo lover too. But I recently discovered the Oreo thins. They're Oreos with a thinner cookie and less cream in the middle. It satisfies my Oreo craving but 4 cookies are only 140 calories.
They're really not as amazing as regular Oreos. But it's a nice fix!

That doesn't sound too appealing lol sorry! I'm an Oreo addict...they are the only "junk food" I'll eat.

You might want to steer clear of dairy. It'll make your body produce excess mucus, which I'm sure won't help your immune system.

Try fruit, like grapes, clementines, berries. Or veggies like celery or carrots. They require minimal to no prep, so perfect for when you don't have the energy to do more.

As for drinks, do you like tea? Green tea and herbal teas have a lot of antioxidants also.

Personally, I love to water down orange juice or apple juice. Less sugar, more hydration! Good luck!

As someone else said, don't worry about steps until you're better.

Healthy snacks: Oranges and clementines are chock-full of vitamin C and sort of sweet. Apples are also good.

How about vegetable soups, even with some crackers? It's not so much a snack, but the hot liquid keeps you hydrated, and having veggies is good for you. Hot tea or even a hot herbal infusion is good. Celestial Seasonings makes a Lemon Zinger that I just love.

When I'm not well, I like Naked Juice's Power C Machine. It's a blend of juices (including orange), but it's smoother. I'm also a fan of their Berry Veggie juice.

It's been a couple years since I was laid up for any significant amount of time, but I remember practically living on chocolate ZenSoy pudding and lemon-lime Gatorade when i was.

I used to love Oreos. I would actually have them with a huge mug of coffee for breakfast when I was in my early 20s and living the single life. As I got older and started reading how stuff is made, I stepped away from the oreo. Honestly, put the package down and pick something else.

I hope you are feeling better and back to your normal routines!
