Living a low- carb lifestyle does't always yield to quick n easy desserts. I was trying to make Chocolate truffles .. but this recipe never made it that far.... Its wonderful as a frosting or a dip for fruit. I ate mine with Strawberries.
Avacado Chocolate Frosting
1 medium avacado
1 tsp coconut oil
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
3 tsp honey
2 tsp cream cheese
3 drops liquid stevia
I typically get about 8-9 Tbsp of frosting out of the mix above. Will note, though, that if the avacados are a tad bigger, I need to play with my measurements a bit ( cocoa, extra drop stevia) .
This is fabulous frosting - I put it on graham crackers for the boys, and fruit for me.
I think this is comparable to the jarred ( Hersheys, Betty Crocker) but mine is made with healthy fat and a FRACTION of the sugar.

I have a Paleo Chocolate Pudding Recipe that is just avocado, raw honey, nut/seed butter (other than peanut). While it has a fantastic taste and it has the consistancy of pudding....my husband and I just couldnt get over the fact that it was Avocado and both decided we just couldnt eat it....was a little too strange for us!
Avocado does have so many good qualities about it that seem to work well with dessert recipes though.
i found a recipe today for banana ice cream that is just a peeled banana. sliced and frozen for 1-2 hours, and then blend it until its creamy, you can add some pure coco powder or cacao nips to it if you want a chocolate fix, i havent tried it yet but its on the list!

I also thought avocado was just tasty as a savoury thing but I met someone from the Seychelles and she talked me into trying plain avocado topped with brown sugar. It was delicious. Of course the calories were outrageous but at least i have expanded my tastebuds lol.

I love this chocolate avocado pudding recipe. I add a touch of raw honey because otherwise it is very bitter! I also prefer to use bananas that are slightly green. The banana thing doesn't bother me as I am not trying to be low carb.
