On the phone app is there a way to create a custom meal instead of logging each individual ingredient each time?

Looking for the same. You can create a "custom food" in the phone app. But you can't list all the ingredients and have the app calculate it. The app also won't let you add in all of the nutrient values, like vitamins. To add an entire meal, like "Homemade Chili", click the CUSTOM button and then the "add custom food" link. Click the detailed view link to add the macros and then click switch to simplified view to add.
I suspect you want to add the ingredients, like ground beef, kidney beans, tomato paste etc. and then let Fitbit calculate it. It used to be on the online dashboard, but it seems that Google has taken that away. But I can't figure out where the online dashboard is. I think it was removed by Google.

I don’t care as much about the macros as much (not a dealbreaker for me but it’s a nice feature). I just want to be able to create a custom meal that I can just click on and all the ingredients and amounts populate the log page. Make it simple. Make it easy. I was able to create meals on Noom very easily. Didn’t have to add separate ingredients each time. Not sure why this isn’t already an option. Or if it is.. why no one from Fitbit monitors the community board to give advice

Thanks for mentioning "nutrient values" - Fitbit is still quite limited in its option for micronutrient recordings such as Vitamins, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium. I know FitBit users who exercise (Strength, impact exercise) and eat to promote bone health. It's a shame when data is available for a food that it can't be recorded on FitBit. Added to this, being able to track daily consumption of specific nutritional content e.g protein, Calcium would be even better. The benefit of exercise can't really be considered wholly without good information on nutritional intake being available.

You pretty much can't do it. Even the custom food option has reduced nutrients you can enter.
That may change, but it seems like Google is going to let the third party apps handle people who want to use more complex information for meal tracking.

I would also like this feature added (custom meal/ingredients with macros instead of just “custom food” option.
Prior to Google, you could create custom meals on your dashboard on the website, but not in the app. Now Google has done away with the website dashboard so I can no longer create new custom meals or edit custom meals I previously created.
i eat mainly the same meals each day so the foods tend to be in my “recent” or “favorite” sections, however it’s still really annoying to have to add individual ingredients instead of just create a custom meal one time. Sometimes a salad can have 15 ingredients!

Yeah… which is why I went back to paying for Noom. If you want me to use a feature that you promote.. then make it user friendly. Dont make it time consuming.

Totally agree... it makes it very time consuming. Makes me less likely to track my food in the FitBit app. I'm not really wanting to pay for a different service like Noom but good to know that they have that feature.

Fitbit doesn’t have a true “custom meal” feature, but you can create a custom food by adding up the meal’s totals (calories, macros, etc.) and saving it under a name like “Tuna Salad Lunch.”
