I would check the Mediterranean diet and the DASH diet as two "heart-friendly" ways of eating. Doctors are usually concerned by elevated cholesterol because of the higher risk for heart disease. Do you carry extra weight and is your lifestyle mostly sedentary? If so, losing weight and increasing your physical activity can be part of the solution for both conditions.

@FerZambraHab ,

So glad you asked. I was diagnosed with prediabetis about four years ago, and Dr, Joel Fuhrman's book, End of Diabetis, has helped me enormously. I reversed my blood sugar in less than a year, and I lost most excess weight in the process.

For immediate inspiration, I'd recommend that you watch this video on YouTube:

Hope this helps!

Bogdel:  I would be very wary of a doctor who sells books and diet supplements, seems to preach something closer to fruitarianism and BELIEVES THAT THE FLU VACCINE IS NOT EFFECTIVE!
