I love them, always have. Week one dropped 15lbs but in the middle I had some left over cookies and they are like eating a meal. 6 cookies are like 1500 cals, I was blown away. Things will kill ya lol....

Foods like cookies can quickly add up in calories alot. Having one as little treat once in a while wouldn't do any harm though usually it may lead to wanting to have more..

You need to learn to control them. You can have them but control needs to take place
Read NI first and then maybe 6 is to much and you will eat the serving size???

its not a question its a statement just dont eat them, period. 6 cockies at 1500 calories I'd have to say they will kill ya. if you cant eat 6 cookies cookies why eat them at all, infact why not eat 10-15. there is no control, what are you going to do eat one lol. why bother 😉

You nailed it Mystique... One treat occasionally is just fine, but for people like myself it opens the door to have WAY too many. I try never to buy or bake stuff that is going to hang around in my kitchen since my self control is low.

It is about moderation. Cookies and ice Cream are great. Just do not bring them home since a serving size is ONE ...... as in 1 BOX, 1 GALLON, 1 POUND ...... never 1 Scoop or ever ever 1 cookie.

I make a batch of cookie dough and only bake what I will allow myself to eat. I use a small cookie scoop, so the cookies are only about 2" across when done. The dough doesn't taste good raw, now that I have to eat gluten-free, so I'm not scarfing up spoons full of it. This way I can have 3 - 4 cookies of a reasonable size on the occasional basis. My husband keeps buying store bought cookies. They are not near as good as home made, so it's easy to say no to them!

It's not really the calories in these cookies that should be of main concern (although 1500 is insane), it's the sugar. They are so high in calories mainly because peanuts are so high in fat (but not all fat is bad...). They also tend to have 2-4 sticks of butter, depending on the recipe! But they also have the sugar from the peanut butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. So that should be a bigger red flag!!
Also... peanut butter has a higher allowable mold/bug content than other nut butters. Just fyi

Oh man @jcham12! I just read the title of this thread and really got scared of what you were going to say in your post. They are delicious, I have to say, but they will do the harm.
Thank you for sharing this, specially to all of us Peanut Butter and cookie lovers.

My wife has a recipe for flourless peanut butter cookies that are 137 calories each. I had two as a special treat desert after dinner tonight. She freezes them after cooking, and I take out just what I'm going to eat, and LOG THEM before I eat them. If I don't have the room in my budget, they stay in the freezer.
