Fitbit food log vs myfitnesspal

Where do you prefer to log. I thought i was going to really love syncing with the my fitness pal but now i am not so sure. I do like the ability to scan the food with bar code on MFP but the rest of it sometimes irritates. they both have great food data bases though.

Just wanted to hear thoughts and opinions.

Thanks Jenn

I use Fitnesspal. I have been using it long before i got Fitbit. I also tried Livestrong, but i liked FitnessPal more. It has vast data base, i usually find whatever i m looking for. Also i love the fact that i can create my own recipes with different ingridients and then keep on re-using those recipes.

I haven't tried fitbit database.

Thanks!!

I have been using Myfitness pal for almost a year now and I got my fitbit a few days ago, its taking some getting use to but the fitbit log isnt too bad.  I really miss the Barcode scanner and creating your own recipies.  over all i think they are both great but i feel like for me I am getting more of a benifit by having all of my fitness stuff in one place (fitbit) then haveing multiple

I downloaded MFP, and took a look, but I find the FB log is easy and good enough for me.  If it is missing a food, a simple google search or entry from the nutrition label is all I need.  I'm keeping it simple and it works for me.

I was using MFP and really enjoyed the ease of scanning and large database.  I later went back to Fitbit because I really like the mobile app that says calories in vs calories out.  Two simple numbers to let you know where you are.  If I can't find the calories on something then I will scan it with MFP and enter it into Fitbit.

I have use MFP and had the syncing enabled for a long time. But when FitBit release bar code scanning I switched to keeping everyone on FitBit. One thing I never liked about MFP is how they log water (always by cups). I now have a 24 ounce container that I have with me all the time and like to log by ounces.

Just my 2 cents....
