I'm not very poetic but on New Year's Eve we have tons of appetizers and this year I was hosting and determined to tone it down so I tried the Oikos yogurt dips. WOW they taste just like the old french onion dip I've always loved on my chips and veggies but it was way less calories, fat and more protien. I don't eat dip often but this is definetely something I'll get again. Would also be great on a pita sandwich.

I like to sub in Quaker Oat Squares cereal for croutons in my salad. They are nice and crunchy, but way lower in calories and fat than croutons!!

i substitute pork rinds instead of chips. pork rinds and guacamole is quite tasty. i also use crushed pork rinds for breading when making something like fried chicken tenders.
instead of hamburger buns/bread, we use oopsie rolls (made from eggs and cream cheese).
