This is not available in the app. It is available in the web browser. If you go to your dashboard and click the calorie tile it will show the breakdown. You could also install other apps (like My Fitness Pal) and link those to your FitBit account. Then you can view it in that app.

@Esya In the latest update to the android app, i'm sure you can see Carbs Fat and Protein where you log your food.

This is what I do, and even though it doesn't do the macronutrient breakdown (or I haven't figured out how to get it to sync with MyFitnessPal) I really like the flexibility of food in MFP. I can build recipes, import recipes directly from a website. For someone who doesn't just eat food from scan-able packages but cooks mostly from scratch, these are great features that I really wish FitBit would incorporate in an update. Right now I use 3 apps to track (MFP for food, iCardio for workouts with Polar heartrate monitor, and Fitbit for daily steps, baseline cals, and sleep). It's cumbersome, but I have a better picture of everything that way. But as soon as Fitbit gets a better food interface, and my Alta HR tracks my workout heartrate accurately, I'll ditch the other two apps.

We got the macronutrients breakdown on the iPhone app as well now, yay!

I only use FitBit, as I tried MFP and I am not friends with it. I also cook from scratch always, and to make my meals I do so in the online food log (on the right hand side is a button to create a meal). You cannot directly import recipes into it, but seeing I am Dutch the recipes I find are most likely not compatible anyways. And I like creating them as it makes me really mindful of what is in there. I typically do it while cooking when I add an ingredient. But I think if you are not Dutch the import recipe is a great feature to have.
