How to track food correctly

ANSWERED

So I recently incorporated Fitbit in my life. Starting with challenges, and understanding how everything works.

My biggest struggle with fitbit is: Food Log.

Today, for example, I ate in a restaurant Grilled Chicken with codito salad and beef broth with rice. Everything was made there from scratch, how could I log that into the app? Exactly, how could I get the most accurate register of food if most of the food I eat is homemade?

Is there any way to make this food log easier, or should I just estimate every log?

I live in México, so there are many dishes that wont be the same as if I were in US or any other country.

hey there @rebeleo92.. if you cook at home, you will need to make an ingredient list for the items and quantities you cook with. Over time you will have a lot of what you use logged so it will be easier to keep track of. As for going out, you can either do an internet search for the specific dish to see if there are nutritional specs for something similar. Or you can do it one thing at a time.. so 3oz grilled chicken 1/2 cup white rice, etc and add it all up at the end.
