My garden is flourishing and I have a ton of Rocky Top lettuce to pick today. I want to make the family a giant, incredible, bodacious salad.
What are your go-to salad ideas? I need salad topping inspiration!

Roasted veggies are wonderful! Almost like candy when you include carrots, parsnips and beets.

My fmaily is just getting started on this healthy thing so right now we are basic. I buy hearts of Romaine, baby spinach, and cole slaw dry mix at Sam's then mix them all together for our base salad. I am still working on the toppings but we are getting there. So far it is just the normal tomatoes, cucumbers, and occasional meat. We need to get more creative but I am glad that I found this discussion, love all the inspiration!

That Jamie Oliver chopped salad looks fabulous! I love Jamie Oliver. I'm doing Weight Watchers so I'd have to count anything that's not a fruit or vegetable, but I really want to try this!

I like to put everything but the kitchen sink in my salads! I love to mix greens, spinach, kale, arugula whatever i have on hand along with carrots, edamame, olives, onion (especially red), sprouts, banana peppers, green/red/orange/yellow peppers, chia seeds, tomatoes (sun-dried gives it a different flavor), montery jack or colby cheese, sunflower seeds or almond slivers, broccoli, avacado... seriously, just about anything in my kitchen ends up in my salads! I use all sorts of dressings, some homemade & some bought.. my favorite is usually ranch but i love the vinegrettes also.
