I am considering using FitBit to track my intake, but wondering if there's a way to re-label the meals vs. the default breakfast/lunch/dinner + snacks. I don't eat on that standard pattern, and I want to be able to log by my own categories so I can look at input timing.
Is there a way to re-label those meal categories?

No there isn't, I put them in the different default categories based on when I eat it. So if I have a snack and its 10am, I'll put that in Breakfast Snack, but after 12 I'll put that in Afternoon Snack. Truthfully it doesn't matter which section you put it in as long as you track it

Thank you for responding- that's a bummer.
The meal categories do matter to me because my current nutrition goals have me looking less at total intake and more at meal timing.
That's actually why I want to switch from where I have been logging daily totals in a different app, to one that allows me to break it down into 5X meal periods. I was hoping Fitbit had a way to set up my own meals. 😞

Sorry to inform you that it didn't but without it being named specifically as you want you can still use five of the different categories and just keep it straight as to which one means which to you

We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers. Major bummer as I am specifically looking to track more than just total calories, but also when I eat what.
I am continuing to track intake on other app's, but it sure would be nice to have it all in the same place...

That's a great idea to log your food. If you would like to be able to change the meal titles, you can vote for the suggestion that @ironXtreme already posted on the ideas board.

For food logging I need an app that allows me to set up my own meal categories, and would love to do that on Fitbit so I can track it with my other stats. 🙂
