Looking for people that make there foods public or available to friends.

ANSWERED

Good Evening-

I juse got my fitbit within this past week and am really enjoying it. Ive decided to log everything(both food, exercise). One of the things that I have noticed is that the majority of people have their foods marked private. I have added several friends and checked out a lot of peoples profiles but i found nobody that has there food viewable. Is there anyone out there that keeps it public or available to friends (may i add) because I am really interested to see how and what others are eating.

My info is completely open and I would welcome any advice. I am at 360+ lbs so keep that in mind.

Thanks

It might be that they are logging their food via another app (I know I log mine on My Fitness Pal) that syncs over - so those might be the ones that are private, rather than actually being logged on the dashboard?  Might be better to joing MFP and then you can view diaries etc?

I log mine on my fitness pal.  It is way easier to do it that way.

Mine is wide open, although I can't say it's the model of culinary perfection. Half of what I eat I cook myself, the other half sadly is terrible horrible fast food lol.

I log mine on Lose It and it links into Fitbit. They have a nice database with lots of branded foods if you choose to go that route and it's free.

Also, and this works for me, perhaps not everyone... I keep myself accountable by keeping a small scale on my countertop. It's got a five lb max, easily converts from gms to ounces/lbs, and I literally weigh everything before I cook it. Keeps me honest and it's easy peasy. I also keep a container of roasted chicken (skinless) chicken breast in the fridge for times when I've just got to have something more or a quick meal. Just slightly heat up and you are good to go. Protein stays with you longer than anything else I find.

Good luck, I know you can do it! Just look at it as 5 lb increments, and reward yourself with a non-food treats to celebrate each 5 lbs, that's what I do. It's like cutting the breast into manageable bites, making it easier to swallow.
