Low Carb - How many eggs do you eat a day?

For those doing low carb, how many eggs a day do you eat?

 

I usually only eat 2 a day but is it safe to eat more?? I always cook eggs for breakfast and sometimes I would like to have them for a mid day snack but I hear too many is bad...

I eat egg everyday about 2-4 egg everyday, and still got no problem for my cholesterol 😀 , for normal people whom didnt have problem with colesterol i think its ok to eat 2-4 egg everyday

Depends on what Im making Omlette 2 eggs 1 egg white

Scrambled 1 egg 1 egg white

I do have Oatmeal a few times a week. But mostly eggs. I dont think I could eat them later in the day.

 

But everything I have read says it really doesnt matter

From an Authority NUtrition article which says, in part,  

In these studies, people are split into two groups… one group eats several (1-3) whole eggs per day, the other group eats something else (like egg substitutes) instead. Then the researchers follow the people for a number of weeks/months.

These studies show that:

    • In almost all cases, HDL (the “good”) cholesterol goes up (6, 7, 8).

 

    • Total and LDL cholesterol levels usually don’t change, but sometimes they increase slightly (9, 10, 11, 12).

 

    • Eating Omega-3 enriched eggs can lower blood triglycerides, another important risk factor (13, 14).

 

  • Blood levels of carotenoid antioxidants like Lutein and Zeaxanthin increase significantly (15, 16, 17).

I eat from 6-8 whole eggs a day. I am losing fat and feel as energetic as ever. I feel my body is working even greater. Just don't eat too many if you already have a bad cholesterol problem or other health issue that's similar. Eggs are super food. If you throw away the yolk just to get the eggwhite I'd say don't even crack that egg. Throwing away the yolk should be a sin!

Be careful with too many eggs. It can cause DISH, a disease in which your bones are calcified and ossified. Most people in our society have it to some degree, and never even notice. But some become unable to turn their heads to the side, have painful arms and so on.
