Hi All,
My husband & I just got a Nutribullet blender & are new to smoothies.
I know that some fruit can be quite high in sugar so I was wondering if the community has any no/low sugar smoothie recipes to share as we are eating healthier & loosing weight & want to stay on track.
Thank you

My favorite smoothie to make is a Strawberry Banana breakfast smoothie. I have it to replace a meal in the mornings when I have to work early. I put the food in my Ninja in this order and blend until smooth:
This meal is 354 calories and can be modified by using less Almond Butter or perhaps use less Almond Milk and add ice. I like this high-calorie version because it replaces an entire meal and it helps me stay full. Plus it's yummy 🙂
You can find tons of recipes on google, too. I love making smoothies!

Will give your recipe a go! I like the sound of adding some oats to the mix.
Yes, there are loads online, find it slightly daunting lol!

When it comes to low sugar, the best fruits to use are Citrus, berries, cantaloupe, plums and guavas. They have the lowest content in sugar.
Berries and almond milk? Throw some chia on it and you can even get a pudding from it.

i substitute the banana for avocado. A banana has so many carbs! What like 20 something? an avocado is way less and the fiber makes the net carb even less. It still come out nice and thick.

@SunsetRunner That smoothie sounds divine! I'm also fan of thick creamy smoothies.
All of your recipes are awesome guys! I'm keen to start preparing them myself.
I usually like citrus-berry smoothies. I love preparing mine with a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice, a handful full of strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and a pinch of ginger or cinnamon. I sometimes replace the orange juice by apple juice. It's beautifully tangy!
