Macro percentages not accurate

ANSWERED

Hi, on the iOS app, the macro percentages are not adding up correctly compared to the relevant grams. For example: Carbs 246g (31%) Fat 159g (44%) Protein 196g (25%)

I’ve looked over other topics and followed the advice there. Logged out of app, force closed app, cleared cache and rebooted phone, and it’s still the same. Any advice on what to do, or why this is happening?

Hello @LeighGM

- 1g of carbs is 4 calories

- 1g of protein is 4 calories

- 1g of fat is 9 calories

246*4 =  984 cal

159 * 9 = 1431 cal

196 * 4 = 784 cal

Total = 3199 cal

784 cal is 25% of 3199 cal

1431 cal is 44% of 3199 cal

984 cal is 31% of 3199 cal

The macro percentages are correct compared to the relevant grams.

Thanks for that explanation, that makes perfect sense now. I was looking at them as percentages of grams with the way it’s shown on screen. Appreciate the feedback.
