Need Opinions - How effective is following a Food Guide?

Personally, I think if people stayed within these 4 food groups and completed the food entries on the app, people will feel better, healthier & ulitmately lose some weight. Do people in the Fitbit community agree or disagree that a "Food Guide" idea should be implemented in the app? I would really like to hear some feedback on this. Thanks!

That is a good idea, I track: dairy, non starchy veg, nuts+seeds+beans, lean meat+fish+eggs, fats, whole grains+starchy, fruit, refined grains +sweets. I can see how using My Plate would be good for standardization (dairy, fat, grain, veg, protein, fruit).

LOL, I just realized the issue, your guide is Canadian and mine is US, probably UK has a different list.  If every country has something different, it would be difficult to program.  Checkboxes a user can check would be nice.

Funny you’re mentioning this: France updated their own guidelines earlier this year.

I don't think there would be agreement on the food groups to use. I'd group them quite differently.
