So as we all know, tonight is New Year's Eve, which means alcohol, snacks, and more alcohol. How does everyone plan on kicking off New Year's the healthy way?
I've decided to make a small meat/cheese tray with reduced-fat crackers, and a huge veggie tray.

I have decided to have different fish for our New Year meal. We are having veg tray with shimp, lobster and clams. None are deep fried, we are trying some new ideas on baking them or saute on the stove with coconut oil. Should be yummie. Also some cheese and crackers - normal crackers for those not watching their food and wassa crackers for me. I will have some alcohol but not much and going to use club soda to help reduce the calories.
Happy New Year.

I like the idea of using more and different fish...that should be yummy. Lots of finger food like mixed nuts, nut butter spreads, avocadoes...for some reason I'm hungry. 🙂 Happy New Year

I had a low key New Years Eve and day. I tried to focus of movement rather than food.
New Years Eve was spent quietly at home with my husband and kids, no nibblies were put out and we have a nice roast with lots of vegetables.
New Years Day was spent outside by out pool (I live in Sydney Australia) with friends. Since it was at my house I got to choose what nibblies were put out. I'm not saying everything was healthy but there was a big fruit platter next to the cheese platter.
I included a swim in the morning (just walking laps of the pool with the kids swimming around me), then dragged everyone out for a nightly walk to end the day.
