A few snippets:
"Conventional wisdom is that “vegan” and “athlete” simply don’t get along — let’s call it irreconcilable differences. I’m here to say that is utter nonsense......"
"The animal protein push is not only based on lies, it’s killing us, luring us to feast on a rotunda of factory-farmed, hormone- and pesticide-laden, low-fiber foods extremely high in saturated fat. Eating this way, I remain convinced (despite the current populist fervor over high-fat, low-carb diets), is indeed a contributing factor to our epidemic of heart disease (the world’s #1 killer) and many other lifestyle-induced infirmities that have rendered our prosperous nation one of the sickest societies on Earth...."
#BOOM....

You can make some of the best soups using lentils and other items he describes.

While I don't subscribe to the vegan lifestyle, I don't begrudge anyone who wants to adopt it. I lean far more towards the caravore side, but I am concerned about the antibiotic and hormone induced products, which is why I've gone to local farms in my area to procure what I know to be 'clean', pasture raised and mostly grass fed.
The debate rages on with one scientific study saying one thing and another to refute it. There is, without a doubt, all the essential amino acids available in either plant or animal protiens. I suppose the only difference is all can be obtained eating one meat while the vegitarian diet must pull them from mutliple sources (i.e. rice and beans together). That difference doesn't put one above the other.
As I started out, I don't begrudge anyone who wishes to lead the vegan lifestyle. All I ask is the same consideration in return.

@tenfeetofsteel I'll make sure to search it, I love food documentaries.
@divedragon @SunsetRunner I really like the way you've put this; there are always 2 sides (or more!) of the same situation and we cannot rule out any of the alternatives available.
