Hi,
Surprisingly I had some New Year's resolutions for 2017 such as starting a blog, losing weight and living more with less. The New Year's resolutions were decided not because of a lack of imagination, but due to neccessity. My weight is spinning out of control; my weight was 97.7 kg on New Year's Day. I want to achieve a healthy 70 kg in the future. So I have my work cut out for me.
To ensure that I have started using my trusty Fitbit to track my movements and eating habits. It still is a bit rudimentary as I still need to design a plan; a meal plan. For my diet I focus on short term (monthly) goals rather than just on the end goal (70kg). My goal for January is maintain my weight, yet I lost 1.2 kg at the moment) and create a healthy meal plan that turns my diet from something 'negative' (by seeing what I CANNOT eat) to something possitive (by making the meal plan delicious).
To help me create that meal plan I created a spreadsheet, the goal of the spreadsheet is to design a meal plan for an entire month (4 weeks). The spreadsheet has 2 functions; help me calculate calories (I put a lot of work in calorie calculations at the moments) and having my grocery list ready for the week. Here is the (empty) template (made myself) of what I am using. What do you think?
Anyone else using spreadsheets like Google Docs or Excel to help them with their meal planning?
