Recovery from a Bad Weekend :(

I'm trying to slim down a bit (lose ~15-20 lbs) and for the past months I have been doing fairly well as far as controlling my portions, getting in daily exercise, and avoiding sugar and refined carbs. However, I stayed the weekend with my boyfriend, then an ice/snow storm hit... a combo that lead to nothing but fast food, sitting around all day and night, and not drinking nearly enough water.

Any advice on bouncing back and getting on track after a weekend of awful eating/being sedentary? Thanks!

Just start back on track now. No point in waiting.

We all have our moments. But getting back to it the  very next day is key. You can do it

The good news is that most of your weight gain is sodium so drinking lots of water should help get rid of most of it. If you truly did have fat gain, then like Wendy said, just get back to what you were doing before the storm hit. You obviously had a routine, go back to it.

Drink water and do some kind of exercise (running, biking, swimming, lifting, etc) that makes you sweat.

You'll burn extra calories and the endorphins will help you feel better!

It happens. We're all going to have little slips. So you just have to get right back on the program.

BTW, there are so many fitness videos on YouTube that you should be able to get in some exercise, even if you are housebound.  That's easier said than done, as I didn't get much exercise when my boyfriend and I were visiting his mom over Christmas.

Like someone above me said, there are plenty of workouts online that you might enjoy such as: zumba, hip hop dance, tae-bo, etc that can work as starters. For me, dance is just fun and doesnt necessarily feel like a workout so I can easily get through it. That will help you get your stamina up and allow you to move on to more intense workouts
