Sharing additions to food library.

ANSWERED

Both 'FitBit' and 'MyFitnessPal' offer users a facility to add non-listed food items to their personal library.
'MyFitnessPal' has a far greater comprehensive food library than 'FitBit', plus it also allows 'MFP' users who add non-listed items to be able to make these additions available to the general library for all to share.
It would be a great benefit if 'FitBit' were to issue an upgraded to provide users personal food additions to be shared by all.

@chriswebber I can see both sides of the argument. I think for ease of things it makes a lot of sense, but I concede Wendy's point about accuracy. I think it would be good if the option was there and users can choose which items they trust and which they prefer to enter themselves.

I myself do not trust others input. I have found many errors and just prefer to stick to my own

Hi Wendy, I fully understand you not trusting others input having made errors myself.
I mistakenly thought 'Sodium' and 'Salt' were the same, not realising that ordinary table salt is only 40 percent sodium. So I was entering salt value from the food packet under sodium into my FitBit listings.
To make matters even worse, the salt value on the food package is listed in grammes yet the FitBit input for sodium is listed in milligrammes, and I didn't realise this.
Yes I must agree input from other users cannot be trusted as mistakes can so easily happen.

the food library in the program indicates a serving of 1 cup of the trail mix at 140 calories.  The package indicates 1/4 cup per 140 cal serving.
