Good news for those who enjoy a Mediterranean way of eating (including veggies, olive oil, moderate amounts of red wine etc.): you’re likely to live older, even older than the Japanese (world leaders so far).

Of course, diet isn’t the only factor in longevity, but it’s certainly a very important one. Interestingly enough, Portugal, Italy and France didn’t place far behind Spain, which tells me there must be some kind of "Mediterranean connection" at play.
