Fruits are an excellent source of vitamins, antioxidants, etc... It depends what fruits you are eating. Fruits like pineapple, watermelon, papaya, mango, are extremely healthy for you but do have a lot of sugar so eat them in moderation. However, I would much rather stuff my plate with fruit then with high sugared foods like chocolate, sweets, candy, etc...

Fruit has a lot of sugar. Fruit has a lot of nutrients. Too much fruit will run through you like a quarterback on steroids headed for the goal post. If you are wanting to lose weight and female, you should have two servings of fruit a day. If you are male you can eat 3-4, depending on your size.

A fruit in not a vegetable. Although considered interchangeable, witness the USDA's food pyramid, they are different both botanically and metobolically. Most fruits are high in sugar and should be restricted. Avocadoes, tomatoes and olives act like vegetables and like veggies don't spike the blood sugar. Berries are all high in antioxidants and fibre, they make an excellent condiment.

Generally berries - such as blueberries, raspberries etc. - are considered pretty safe/ lower in fructose. The highest fructose fruits are the tropical fruits...papaya, pineapple, mango, bananas. So there is quite a large variation.
Honestly? I'd go off how I feel. I feel great on watermelon, berries, some stone fruits like plums. I get mild stomach swelling with apples and other fruits. If you have digestive problems, also try to eat fruit on an empty stomach.

i try to stick to berries and limit the other fruits. i love watermelon but i limit myself to half a slice whereas i can have a whole slice of cantalope. Just make sure a majority of your fresh food is vegetables and you can treat fruit like you would candy and chocolate, its a healthy treat, but a treat all the same 🙂

Totally agree with you! Fruits are full of antioxidants which may reduce the risk of many diseases (including heart disease and certain cancers). Antioxidants scavenge free radicals from the body cells and prevent or reduce the damage caused by oxidation. That's why I eat a lot of fruits and veggies, and also order antioxidant powder from https://www.alyaka.com/brands/the-beauty-chef/.
