This is what I cooked for dinner tonight. It was the best steak I've ever eaten in my life. I seasoned it heavily with salt, pepper, montery steak seasoning, garlic salt and then (the key) coffee from freshly ground dunkin donuts coffee beans. I heated a little olive oil in a cast iron skillet and added 1 TBSP of butter and a couple stems of rosemary and thyme. I seared both sides on high heat and then basted the steak in the drippings while it seared. I then put in the oven at 400 degrees until it was rare to medium rare.
My side items were grilled radicchio and a risotto with sauteed onion, garilic, bell pepper, mushroom, kale and sundried tomatoes with a little tomato sauce.

@FitBeforeFifty I use Montreal seasoning on almost every type of meat that I cook, it's fantastic. This also looks like a well-executed meal!
I'm curious how much ground coffee beans you used for this recipe? I love both coffee and steak, but I think combining the two sounds a little intimidating.

@DerrickS, I'm not quite sure how much -- I don't really measure when cooking any more. I put enough to completely coat each side so you can't see the meat or the other seasoning underneath but not a double coating - just enough to cover it.
