there's plenty of threads for low cal and low fat snacks, so I thought I'd start a low carb snack thread.
for me: macadamia nuts, pork rinds and just about any full-fat cheese
I've also been known to randomly eat a spoonful of coconut oil, but maybe i'm just weird.

Have you tried the Oscar Meyer protein packs? I think they are called P3. It has ham or turkey and cheese and some nuts or almonds. High protein, fat, low carb. Pretty tasty and filling.

Hmm, well I should not have listed them as low carb. Rather, I consider them "good carb" because all the carbs come from fruit. And that is not converted to sugar as rapidly as starchy (grain based) carbs. I find that since they are made completely of dried fruit and nuts, they bring my blood sugar back up rapidly without leading to another sugar crash. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I found these Butterball turkey sticks at Walmart today, for 3 sticks it's 60 calories and less than 1 carb, 8g protein and I want to say 14g fat but I may be wrong on the fat level.

we fried up some chicken tenders last night using pork rinds for the breading and it was awesome!
here's the recipe if anyone's interested:
1 lb chicken tenders
1 egg white
1.5-2 oz pork rinds
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic power
1-1.5 oz shredded parmesan
oil for frying
put the pork rinds, spices and cheese in a food processor. pulse until everything is well combined and the pork rinds are basically dust. put the egg white in a shallow plate or pie pan and beat until frothy. Coat the chicken with the egg whites then coat well with the crumb mixture. Heat oil over medium to medium-high heat in a large nonstick skillet. Fry the chicken on both sides until golden brown and the chicken is cooked through.
dip in your favorite sauce (preferably low carb as well) and enjoy!
