So I am curious about triggers. We all have them. An activity or mood or something that makes us want to snack or binge or serve up pasta with a side of bread. My trigger is booze and TV. I can't sit down and have a glass of anything without a snack. And once I start the snacking, I need another drink... and round and round it goes. A lesser trigger is TV. When I am watching something, I instantly feel the need for popcorn or something similar. Pair TV with booze- good grief it is a scene! How do I overcome? I delegate two days as my drinking days so at least if I go off the rails it is contained to those days and I do a dry spell of two weeks every two months. As for TV, I give myself the talk. I am a mom- I am really good at the talk :). Tell me your triggers and how you overcome or succumb to them..

Today is a great example of a trigger day. I usually go for about 1-1/2 hr. walk every morning weather permitting. It's a gloomy, rainy day and I want to eat some carbs and some sweet treats and watch Netflix. I've held off so far because I've worked too hard to get to where I am to blow it all. I'll have a clementine and a smoothie instead. Peace out.

My trigger is after work. I want to order snacks for delivery and watch TV. The outcome - spending extra money, making poor food choices and getting no exercise 😞
