Hi Everyone,
Looking for some help!
I have been on a weight loss journey of which I think I have done quite well, at the beginning I only had to make a couple of changes and the weight just dropped off, after 6 months I then incorporated the gym and by February this year I had lost 2 stone. However, I have now hit a point that I'm not really losing any weight, in fact every time I lose a bit of weight ( 1lbs-2lbs) I seem to gain body fat! I am sure that its my diet as I have just looked at my stats after logging my food for a week and I seem to have a high intake of carbs, the problem is I don't know what foods I should be eating! Breakfast is the most tricky for me, I don't have a lot of time to prepare like eggs or anything as I start work early so I usually take fruit and fibre cereal with me to work, I then have a mid morning snack of fruit (blueberries, apple) Lunch is usually a salad and Yoghurt then cashew nuts with dried cranberries for an afternoon snack, dinner can vary between chicken, stir fry, sometimes pasta (which I know this is one of the things I should change) I was looking for some ideas of what I should be eating throughout the day, I drink at least 4 pints of water a day and exercise 5 days a week for around 45mins-1hour
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
C

I'd recommend replacing the pasta by doing zucchini noodles or the such.
One recommendation I would suggest would be trying low carb for a small amount of time. I hit a plateau one time during my weight loss journey and I switched to low carb and it helped me break through that plateau.

If you have no time, you can meal prep the night before and pop it into a microwave. Or, hard boiled eggs take 20 minutes while you dress. Also, nothing says you have to eat traditional breakfast food. If you eat 300-400 calories of protein and fat (such as 2 eggs and a half an avocado), you will get all the way to lunch with a suppressed appetite.

@ChloeSuzanne Congrats on your weight loss! You should be very pound of your achievement. When I read what you are eating a couple of things came to mind. Swap out cashews for raw almonds. Pasta for veggies. Read the labels of things. Fiber cereal can have a lot of sugar in it and may have other chemicals. My rule of thumb, 5 or less ingredients, can you pronounce them, did they exist 100 years ago. So much of our food is process now, our bodies don't know what to do with it, it can make use sick, tired, and hang onto fat. Food planning and prep will take a bit more time, but it's well worth it.

How are you figuring you are gaining body fat?
