What to do when you don't know how many calories something is?

ANSWERED

So I just started my weightloss journey and I'm on day 2 of this and I'm loving using the fitbit app to track my food intake. Yesterday was easy, everything I had came with barcodes on them which made it real easy to know what I'm taking in, and how many calories I'm burning to make sure my calories out, were more than my calories in. Now the curve ball....I just found out, that tonight's dinner is up the block at the pizzaria. Even better is I checked out their online menu and no nutritional information (Unlike Subway, who has their nutritional info available for everything). I even tried calling the pizzaria up to find out about a couple things that I usually get from them, and I get (from the owner) "Oh, yeah....can't help you there buddy, I have no idea what any of that stuff is." So my question....when you're trying to track your calories, what do you do when you come across something like that? Guess what it might be?

Yo DaMikesta, what I do if I don't know the calories or nutritional content of food I ate or am going to eat, I go to my dashboard and go to log in food. I type in the what did you eat box say 1 slice of peperoni pizza. Fitbits data base give me the calories for about 30 different pizza places and tells you how many calories per slice. It can at least get you in the ballpark. Good luck, take care.
