Suggestion : including more nutritional information like vitamins, sugars and minerals etc. when logging food would be great. Livestrong has this and I love it. Adding it to ftibit would make the product even more appealing to people.

FitBit does have this on-line. Not on the App. You can go to create a new and choose additional nutritional information to add fat, sugar, carbs, vitamins. If you are using the phone app you can only add calories when you are out. But you could edit the foods when you get back home.

I use the MyFitnessPal app which has a massive database and includes nutritional infomation for every food plus a daily nutritional intake summary.
It helps me plan meals through the day in oder to meet my nutritional needs e.g. Before dinner I need 30g more protein so I have the reuqred amount of fish or daily calcium is under so take a supplement.
MFP also has a barcode scanner for new foods.
MyFitnessPal syncs the food intake data to Fitbit so the two work together well.
