Does adding wine to food in a recipe add calories?

It is actually the sugar content of the wine that would make a difference. If you added a dry (low sugar) red wine for example, 5 ounces is roughly 125 calories and 4 carbs. A sweeter white wine would have a higher sugar content. The alcohol cooks off and is not a factor.
