ANSWERED

Does non-caffienated diet soda count toward water intake?   (Or, for that matter: lite beer?)

@fittykitty  If you're counting calories, anything like lite beer, milk, sweet tea, coffee with sugar and creamer would need to have the calories logged. For me, I began counting any liquid I drank just to see how much I was having in a day. This lead to my drinking more water and less tea and/or diet soda.

Everyone will tell you differently. Some are purists and believe water only. The main thing is that you get some indication of just how much liquid you get in a day. I wasn't getting enough and have increased the water, while decreasing other drinks.

Nothing good can come from diet soda drinks, especially those containing aspartame and even sucralose.

I have had a lot of addictions in my life - all of them legal - and I can tell you quitting diet coke was the hardest of them all. Even when compared to smoking. Plenty of studies surrounding how diet drinks make you fat and sick, too..

Want to get healthy? Simply: Walk about an hour a day, drink only water (add lemon if you'd like), avoid all grains, and eat plenty of veggies and meats (don't fear fat). Don't starve yourself.

And most importantly: commit to 120 days of this before you expect to see any real results. This is all advice I need to remind myself of 🙂

Beer wont, alcohol, like caffeine, dehydrates you.

Just drink water, its not that hard.

If you really cant stand the taste, I fill a 1 litre bottle about a 5th full, freeze it, and then add water and drink.
