I was wondering if juice, coffee and tea (herbal or otherwise) count in the water consumption?

Juices and sports drinks are alsohydrating -- you can lower the sugar content by diluting them with water. Coffee and tea also count in your tally. Many used to believe that they were dehydrating, but that myth has been debunked. The diuretic effect does not offsethydration.Sep 9, 2011

I take the water intake log to be just that. If Fitbit meant fluids then surely they’d name it “fluids” in the log? I log only water and aim to get 1 litre as I also like to drink tea & coffee. For me, drinking tea & coffee is pleasurable and a caffeine boost - but I balance the “caffeine boost” of my fluid intake with drinking pure water. It’s not always about hydration -
more about cleansing.
I personally think logging tea, coffee, juice or other drinks is giving a false reading. It’s a ‘water’ log - not any fluids 🤣

Hi everyone!
It's a very interesting topic, I asked myself this question as well, whether or not other liquids can count as water. It possible the answer is somewhere in the middle, and I think it will depend on the type beverage.
But I definitely agree with a lot of comments here about water being the first and best choice. I used to drink very little water, but since I started drinking at least 6 glasses of water, I no longer have those daily headaches I used to have. 😀
