Hello ! I am new around here and wondering how much a 6 oz. hamburger weighs raw?  Any thoughts?

That would highly depend on the fat and water content of the raw meat.

I weighed the meat raw 7oz. ground round 85/15.  Cooked it in the microwave for 2 minutes. weighed 4.5 oz. afterward.  I am sort of a technical person as you can see. LOL !

That's probably the best way to figure it.... It will likely vary based on a number of factors.   

OTOH, I don't do much red meat anymore, so I won't be doing any experiments.

It is my understanding that when a restaurant says that they serve a 1/3 or 1/2 lb burger that is the pre-cooking weight.  The post-cooking weight will depend on your cooking method and the amount of moisture still in the meat when cooked.  I always use the raw weight when I log my food.
