Hey has anyone tried Nutra System meals before? I have and it kept my weight down for awhile. However, I am thinking of trying it again. And I was wondering if this is like the other diets that once you stop thier meals, do you gain all the weight back that you lost? Any feedback is appreciated.

Nutra System is very convenient, though pricey. My son & his fiancee did it for a few months and liked the convenience & weight loss. They eventually gave it up.
My problems with trying this plan were several:
1. It teaches you to eat from a box (and not in the real world) and who wants to do that forever?
2. So much of the diet is processed food (except the salads they encourage you to eat.)
3. The sodium load is HUGE! Even if you don't have blood pressure issues, hat much sodium way exceeds the RDA. Sodium also makes you retain water which anybody weighing themselves is heavy!
There are many good diets available so see what works best for you. Exercise is also absolutely mandatory for good results since it helps you to lose weight twice - once by doing it and the second benefit is that muscle burns more calories than most other tissues even when you're doing nothing.

Thank you so much for the reply and input Ro-Laren! I do exercise but am having a hard time losing weight! I didn't know that Nutra System was loaded with so much sodium! I will have to look into another diet and another way to lose weight.

Weight Watchers worked for me, but not for everybody. What is important is to find a well balanced reasonable (forget those that say 20 lbs/wk, etc.) diet pln and stick with it. Life time changes in eating are essential. If you go back to eating the way you did before, you'll end up looking the way you did before, too.
Best of luck to you...and persist.

I've never tried nutra system. I thought about it some years ago, but when I looked at the meal choices i decided it wasn't for me - too much highly processed stuff on their menu (full of preservatives and salt).
I now actually dislike their business model. I think it sets people up to fail and return as customers over and over. Why? Well rather than promoting healthy eating they sell the idea that you can eat pizza and chocolate chip cookies and lose weight. Whilst it might be appealing to not change diet and lose weight, it means once people stop eating nutra system they will continue eating pizza, except they will almost certainly go back to eating larger portions than those in the nutra system box. In other words they will go back to the very eating pattern that caused their weight gain in the first place, with inevitable results.
Its ugly and time consuming, but the only way for most people to control weight in the long term is by changing diet and/or portion control, and they won't learn than skll and self control by eating ready made food.

Sensa might work -- but its nothing more than a flavoring enhancer (I believe they call their crystals 'tastants'). The idea is you feel more satisfied and full by eating less flavor enhanced food. But......there is no evidence of this working. Sensa doesn't do anything more than the MSG used in some Chinese food. Consequently, the Federal Trade Commision just fined them $26.5 Million and ordered them to stop advertising Sensa as a weight loss aid, etc.
