Hi. My Fitbit app is not calculating "Ckal in" correctly. Ckals for each food item is listed correctly, and adds up to 900ckal. Still, Fitbit calculates: Ckal in: 300. How can we Fix this?

Hello @Matsebass1
Could you please post a screen capture showing the problem ? Detail of your food entries and the total would be good to see.

@Matsebass1 without a screenshot you may be seeing calories after exercise or influence from your estimated basal metabolic rate. Or maybe the food item "units" selected are incorrect or you did not adjust to reflect what was consumed.

That is the calorie in/out meter which can be explained in detail here (near the bottom of the page):

@Matsebass1 Thank you for the screen capture. Indeed there is a problem there, the total of calories In should be what you have logged, in this example 1075 kCal if I am not mistaken. If you look at your dashboard on Fitbit.com, is the problem present there or not ?
@SunsetRunner The calorie intakes should always show what has been logged in the food diary. It is the calories budget which is dynamic.

@SebWotan Yes your are correct which is why I was referencing the article. This could be simply toggling the sedentary or personalized option for the proper calorie counting. Or the individual may need to reconfigure their food plan to correct a setup bug causing the miscalculation. I apologize for not being clear.
(ref: Click the food tile on your Fitbit.com dashboard and then “See More.” In the Food Plan section, click the gear icon. This is where you can change your Daily Calorie Estimate setting from “Personalized” to “Sedentary.” The sedentary setting starts you out with a low calorie estimate and lets you “earn” more calories by being active throughout the day.)
