Having to synch after changing an alarm or setting to new one may be a consequence of the platform Fitbit is running on; however, it doesn't have to be that way; and changing an alarm or/and setting a new one can be pushed to your device, they just need to implement the coding necessary.

This is just one more example of a really good product being pushed out in a hurry, and then the development team loses interest in the nitty gritty details, while working on the next "big" thing.
