I've set the display for my Fitness Inspire 3 to be "Always On". However, it is brighter than I like and is not affected by the regular brightness adjustments. How can I adjust the brightness when I have it set to "Always On"?

Thank you Odyssey13. Unfortunately, I'm finding nothing in the manual regarding adjusting the brightness of the "Always On" screen.

Looks like we need a moderator to stop by to address this, @Jim5371 . I've asked and they should know if it can be done or not.

@Jim5371 -- in my case, it does seem to be affected by the different brightness settings, but when I change tfrom one to the next (ie. dim, normal, bright) it is a bit slow and not super dramatic to my eyes. So try giving it a few seconds as you go between changes

On my Fitbit, the brightness setting works fine EXCEPT that it does not have an effect on the ALWAYS ON CLOCK screen. That screen seems to be at the MAX brightness setting regardless of how the brightness is set.

Thanks for the suggestion, Baltoscott, but unfortunately it did not work. You might test it on your Inspire 3 if you have one. Go into settings and set the brightness to "dim". Then turn on the "Always On" display. All the screens will now be dim EXCEPT for the Always On clock face. It will be at the Max brigtness and stay that way regardless of the brightness setting. I have a feeling this is the way the Inspire 3's Always On display works. I've read other people commented on this issue in Reddit, and no successful solution was suggested. Unless there is another solution, I think I'll just use the Auto Wake feature; I'm getting used to it now. I do appreciate you trying to help me. Thank you!

@Jim5371 This is also how it works on other Fitbits. It uses the lowest possible brightness to conserve battery life.

@Jim5371 -- Normally, I don't even use 'auto wake.' I just tap when I want to see the time. I can get 10+ days battery at that setting (brightness set to dim), which is pretty cool.
But while trying to replicate your problem I changed to always on, and the tested the settings. If I have brightness set to max, it is bright for a few seconds when I turn my wrist (as you with auto wake) then it fades to dim, which is expected behavior. I can extend the length of time it stays bright by changing the screen time on control to 'long' which keeps it bright for 5-10 seconds.). Alternatively, if I have brightness set to dim and I turn my wrist to view the watch face, it very briefly brightens -- seems like close to max, but then immediately goes back to dim.
