Hello, I’ve had my device for awhile and used to get maps to show where I’d been on my walks but this has now stopped. A walk still gets logged but no maps.
Fitbit app - 4.58 (1103883091}
Fitbit Inspire 3 device - 63.200001.220.31
Fitbit Device - walk - gps on / hr on / auto start on / auto stop off
Android pixel 9a (Android 16) - gps active and Fitbit app set to allow always. Upgraded from pixel 6a to pixel 9a about a month ago and that’s when maps stopped.
Phone usually with me when walking. I do expect no maps when no phone but it’s when phone with me that there are no maps.
This week had 10 walks logged with 1 having a map.
I’ve completed a factory reset and reconnected to the pixel 9a, checked the Fitbit device again for gps, auto on / off that they are on and also on the pixel that locations services are always on. Also check battery saving off and also foreground toggles are on for Fitbit app.
I’ve read that within the Fitbit app you need to ensure location services is on but none of the instructions take me to that option.
When I open the Fitbit app and start the walk manually, leave app open, wait 30s then start walk I do get a map. If I set off the walk manually then lock screen I don’t get a map. Starting walk from device ensuring device connected I don’t get a map. Seems since upgrading versions on Android has required the Fitbit app to be open and active with walk selected as exercise and that works.
OK I’ve got a workaround now but tbh I haven’t bought a wearable device to activate and manage via the phone and to keep the app active!
Any ideas? Thanks
