My Fitbit app no longer displays a Google route map after exercise. I mainly track "walk" by start/ pause/ stop, and the results show under "exercise days" or "walk", both sections used to show a map until a day or two ago.
- GPS is switched on for both phone and "walk" section of exercise.
- No changes or updates have been made since the last time a map was displayed a few days ago.
- Phone and Inspire are paired, and do synch data correctly.
I've rebooted the phone & app, but still no map display. Separately, location permissions are on and Google Maps itself works fine.
Any ideas, or is this yet another unannounced recent bug/change in the transition to Google?

Hi, @Turbogerbil welcome to the community. May I suggest you review the settings on your Inspire 3? Go to and touch the "Walk" exercise on your Inspire 3>swipe up to GPS & ensure the slider is on>swipe up again to auto start & ensure the slider is off (if you trigger the exercise using auto-recognize it will not start the GPS) As a precaution I suggest you also disable the auto-recognize feature on the Fitbit app on your phone From the "Today" screen touch your icon in the top right corner>Fitbit settings>exercise>walk>ensure the slider in the top right is in the off position>SAVE. Return to the Today screen & sync.
Now when you go for your walk (you must, of course, have your cellphone paired with the Inspire 3 with you) you'll start the exercise from the Inspire 3 by touching the "Start" arrow for "Walk" & pause/stop/finish as required. Once you "Finish" you should now get a map after syncing (it sometimes takes a couple of syncs)

Hi @Gr4ndp4 , thanks for your quick response.
Switching off auto-start and auto-recognise did indeed fix the problem, and a map has now displayed for a walk I have just completed.
I find it curious, though, that my Inspire 3 settings have remained unchanged for a year or so - i.e. with auto start and auto recognise switched on - but that maps were displayed until just a week or so ago. I did not notice any firmware update that might have changed the device's operating parameters.
Thanks for your help, and I do hope Google get around to producing some slightly more informative menus for their devices and the App!
