Auto-recognising exercise when I don't want it to

I have always had my Inspire 3 set not to auto-recognise any exercise, as I just want to wear it as a watch and then every day look at the previous day's calorie burn.

No problem with that at all, until the update 3-4 days ago.  Now I cannot walk anywhere without the Inspire 3 buzzing on my wrist, telling me I'm on a walk, and giving me all sorts of in-walk data that I have no interest in.  Worse, there seems to be no easy way to click back from that to the normal watch screen.

I have triple-checked all settings.  The watch is definitely set never to auto-recognise exercise, and yet it does keep insisting on doing it. It's driving me up the wall, and I am very close to stopping wearing the fitbit altogether and never buying another one, because of that.

On mine, with a recent update it got turned back on on the Fitbit device itself.

If you look at your Fitbit on the wrist, swipe to the left twice, find Walk and select it.  Instead of pressing Start, swipe up 4-5 times until you get to auto-start and see if it is on there.

OMG thank you so much, wobble_2!!!  I followed your instructions, and that seems to have solved the issue (it was indeed turned on at the wrist despite being turned off in the app).  I'm very grateful, because the auto-recognition was driving me nuts!
