Inspire 3 blank screen after swimming with it

My Fitbit Inspire 3 went black a few days ago after swimming (shallow water, short duration). It will not turn on AT ALL. The screen stays black- I have tried resetting it, charging, etc- but it does vibrate when I touch the side buttons. It shows up on the app at 2% battery and does not change, no matter how long I charge it, but it is syncing. Help! 😕

Hi there, @Mudgetwolf. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire 3 is still unresponsive. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

If your device got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.

On a side note, I'd like to clarify that your Fitbit device is water-resistant to 50 meters, and it can stand up to the sweatiest of workouts. That being said, I'd recommend trying the following steps:

  1. Clean the gold contacts on your tracker and charging cable.
  2. Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  3. Make sure you use the charging cable that came in the box, as well as your device is connected correctly.
  4. Restart once again your Inspire 3 with the charging cable as described here.
  5. Leave your device plugged into the charging cable for at least 30 minutes.
