Broken workouts on inspire 3 with new firmware

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since the new firmware update on my inspire 3, my manually tracked workouts (as in I tell the inspire to start tracking a specific kind of workout) dies around half the time, generally in the 10 or 15 minute mark (as in when I check it again, it's back at the clock home screen, no workout tracking or end of workout screen).

This corresponds with what looks like a broken phone connection icon that's new (rectangle with a slash through it).

This also causes some kind of data issue because the app won't let me add a manually entered workout over that time to capture it; either won't save, or saves and then deletes it a few minutes later.

I am not wearing any other jewelry or touching the Fitbit in anyway, and I've had this tracker for a year+ without any problem before the firmware update.

This is consistent across any type of workout, time of day, and battery level of my inspire.

I've never had anything like this before. I've submitted feedback but this is pretty serious feature regression.

@Dadbod42 , a warm welcome to the Community!
Thank you for your message and feedback.

Does this occur with every activity or with a specific one?

In the meantime, on the Inspire 3 do as follows.

  1. Open the Exercise app.
  2. Tap the Bike, Elliptical, Rowing, Run, Spinning, or Walk option individually.
  3. Swipe up. Auto stop and Auto Start is turned on by default,  tap to turn it off.
if these are on, the next time your device detects this workout type, the Exercise app automatically opens.

It occurs with a variety of workout types (workout, running, biking, weightlifting).

This is not an auto stop/start scenario. When it auto stops, I get the "stop workout? (Yes)" Screen. This is a full exit of the workout, return to home screen and the workout itself is not recorded in the app at all (and the app won't let me manually log it over that time period, but will let me do it on other time periods).
