Can't Swipe Between Screens on Inspire 3

Hi,

 

I got the Inspire 3 for Christmas and have been having issues with it, not sure if it's something fixable or if I need to exchange it for a different one.

 

I don't seem to be able to swipe between screens (left/right or up/down) the majority of the time, with the screen going blank right away. 

 

I fully charged it before using it, have checked that the firmware is up to date, have restarted the Fitbit, and changed the screen off time to the longest delay.

 

Any help would be appreciated!
