Can't access to my Fitbit email account

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had a previous Fitbit which died and when trying to register my new Inspire3, 3 weeks ago  it did not allow me to use my email so I used another email. Today it has reverted back to my old Fitbit, which has died and no info available. I cannot access Inspire3 details on new email address. Can press start and finish as required bit not what I want to do.
Can anyone suggest what to do? Have tried new email address and password but no luck, in Oz.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Kkmt!

Sad to hear that you're having issues with your new Inspire 3. I wouldn't suggest using a new Fitbit account to set it up as you will lose all data your previous device had tracked. Before setting up your new device, please make sure your phone meets Fitbit's current system requirements:

Also you should make sure your phone is running the latest version of the Fitbit app.

Then please have a closer look here how to set up your new Inspire 3:

@Talahthas , Thank you for your help and links shared.

@Kkmt , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and efforts.

When you mentioned, that you cannot access the info, do you have difficulties logging in into your account/app?
Do you receive an error message?
Have you tried logging in into the online Dashboard (fitbit.com)?

Hi, @Kkmt , I am pretty sure that what happened was when you went to to set up your new Inspire 3 you clicked on “Join Fitbit” instead of “log in”.  Then you got a message saying something like your email address was already used so you set up a new account for your new Inspire 3 with a new email address…. Now you have two accounts, one with your old fitbit and a different email, and one with your new Inspire 3.

Then next time you logged in you used the previous email address.  That had all your old data, but not your new Inspire 3 (which was set up on a different email address).

So now you have two accounts.  One which has your old stuff, and one which has the new Inspire 3….

If you get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.fitbit.com they may agree to merge the two accounts for you.  They certainly used to be happy to do that in the old days of Fitbit, but maybe no more.

in the mean time, if you just want to move on and not worry, please log out of whatever Fitbit account you are logged in to.  Go to your app, from the opening screen click the person icon/photo top left, scroll down to the bottom and log out.

Next open the Fitbit app again and choose log in.  If you can remember which email address you used for the new Inspire 3 account and password, log in to that, and just keep using that.  You will have your new data with your new Inspire 3 there.

As I said, Customer Support will be able to merge the two accounts, but in the meantime, just be sure that you stay logged in to the account that has your new Fitbit data.

Apologies if this sounds complicated.  Please post again if anything is unclear.
