Can't turn off exercise auto start

I would like Fitbit Inspire 3 to just count my steps and not launch the walk app. I have read all the forum posts about this topic. I have all the exercises turned off in the app. I also have auto track activities turned off. Then the online forum says to go to the exercise app in the Fitbit itself, and swipe up to turn off auto start. When I swipe up, I only get the controls for the particular activity it is showing. I do not see an option to turn off auto start? Confused. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please? Thank you.

Oops, never mind I think I found it. Hopefully this worked. Thanks.

Hi @V-Silly, it's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

I know you have resolve your doubt but but as part of the community meanings, let me give my contribution.

Your Fitbit device automatically recognizes and records high-movement activities through the SmartTrack feature. It also detects workouts and automatically open the Exercise app.

If you want the device not to do this, you can manage automatically tracked activities through the Exercise auto-start feature

Inspire 3 can automatically detect certain workouts and open the Exercise app after a few minutes. To turn on this feature:

  1. Open the Exercise app.
  2. Tap the Bike, Elliptical, Rowing, Run, Spinning, or Walk option.
  3. Swipe up. Auto Start is turned on by default, but tap on it if you want to turn this feature off. The next time your device detects this workout type, the Exercise won't open.
