"Oops. Looks like there's no internet connection" when trying to download a clock face on Inspire 3

About 2 days ago, the clock on my Inspire 3 stopped working. It displays (in a tiny font):

(the current time)
Clock error
Go to the fitbit app and try another clock.

In the Fitbit app, if I go to Watch Faces or Apps, it says "Oops, looks like there's no Intenet connection." I am generally connected to the internet, and I've tried both wifi and mobile data in case it was an ISP-or-pihole-specific thing. If look at my DNS logs, it successfully looks up http://fitbitvestibuleshim-pa.googleapis.com/.

Watch Faces and Apps have worked in the past.

This coincides with a Pixel update to Android 16 that I downloaded at about that time (I have a Pixel 8), so it might be related?

What a world we live in, when a watch can crash...

Hi there, @WidjettyOne. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that you cannot install a clock face on your Inspire 3. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

The "Oops no internet connection" issue can be caused by the use of the following on your phone:

  • VPN
  • AdBlock software
  • Security software
  • Private DNS
