Disabling text messages on Inspire 3

I have done EVERYTHING that has been suggested to disable text messages on my inspire 3, through my android phone and even my Ipad, yet some messages are still coming through.  I have also set up the Inspire 3 to prolong the batter life, and the battery is only lasting 4 days.  My previous Inspire 3 lasted over a week.  Any assistance is appreciated.

Have you tried putting your Inspire 3 on Don't Disturb mode (DND).

Swipe down the clock face. 

On the quick settings, tapp on DND mode to turn it on/off.
