Does anyone switch back and forth between clip and wrist mode?

I just ordered an Inspire 3 using a 35% off code I got from customer service as my last device (a Luxe) is out of warranty. I've been without a Fitness tracker for about 8-10 months now. I switched to an Apple Watch in 2022, but stopped wearing it last year because it was starting to impact my mental health and relationship with exercise.

I've decided that I'm ready to start wearing a fitness tracker again. However, I have ZERO desire to wear one on my wrist 24/7. I have an analog watch that I LOVE. So, I decided on the Inspire 3 because I can put it in a clip and go back to the simpler times of the One, Zip, and Ultra.

That being said, I have mixed feelings about this approach. While I think it's perfect for MOST of the time, I feel I might miss the more detailed tracking when at the gym.

I'm wondering if anyone here switches back and forth. Maybe you keep it in clip mode during the day, but then switch to it on your wrist when working out or sleeping?

I have started to do this.  I had a Fitbit One and put it in my pocket during the day and on my wrist at night - worked fine.  I have had my Inspire 3 for around 6 months and have had it on my wrist more or less all the time.  I have now bought a clip for it and have started to leave it in my pocket during the day and put the strap back on at night.  I am not really bothered about all the details missed during the day, but am interested in sleep patterns.  So far all seems good and I have a feeling the steps information is more accurate since I have been putting it in my pocket, but I don't have any hard information.  Haven't been to the gym yet with it in my pocket, so can't give any info on that.  Try it and see.

I don't use a clip but I take mine off once I hit 10,000 steps and often before if I know I won't make 10k.  I tried the sleep tracking but it didn't give me any info that I found useful.
